Last year had its rough patches, no doubt about it. However, it also had its shining rays of hope and joy. 2010 was eye-opening. I found love. I found heartbreak. I found new friends. I lost old ones. Love returned to my life.
Last year, my resolutions included losing weight and getting better organized. I partially made my goals: I lost weight and grew up a lot, but not by following any set-out plan I made at the beginning of the year. In fact, I made these goals only after NOT working towards them. I don't even know if that makes any sense...but...
This year, it's all about being grateful for my surroundings - what I already HAVE. My weight as it is now. My opportunity to study law. The many little things that already surround me.
If I HAVE to have a resolution...I guess I'll say that it's Project365. I'm finally going to do it. :) I hope I keep up with it, because there's nothing I love more than documenting life through pictures. Check out my Flickr in the sidebar to see what I've come up with so far. Or click here. I'm only going to be updating with pictures once a week though. Keeping up with school is hard enough as it is...
If the fact that this blog post is coming a little late in the game isn't a testament to how much work I've already had this semester, then I don't know what is.
1L year part two: it's getting pretty intense! The best thing I've learned I think when it comes to studying is to make sure to actually schedule times when I need to be studying. And to do a little bit for each class each day. It really helps keep the workload as manageable as it can be.
The good news is that classes have been pretty fun so far, or as fun as it can get I suppose. I really miss reading for pleasure and being, oh, I dunno, ~creative. I really like one of my new teachers for Civil Procedure, though.
Until next time, love and kittens,
Kiley

I'm doing P365 too, I am in LOVE with it. It's so fun, but sometimes I feel like my pics aren't too creative for the day. :-/ but I do know that at the end of the year it'll be SO much fun to look at. Hell, at the end of the month it was fun to look at. :)
Love the new blog look, by the way! :)
Yay, Dallas! I feel the same way, 2010 was a really big "learning" year that, I think, sort of set me up for accomplishing things in 2011. I want to join a 365 but I always fail, so I'm doing the Bloggy52 (and... already behind, doh!) Good luck!
Another Dallas girl!! Hope you're enjoying the insane amount of ice we're experiencing right now...! I moved from Scotland to Texas to try to get rid of crap weather, but it seems to have followed me!!
