i survived comic-con.

My feet are blistered and I'm pretty sure I got knocked in the head a couple of times but I did it: this n00b survived Comic-Con! And it was a blast folks. A total, dehydrating, tiring, magical, celebrity-filled, sun burned, fantastical blast.

For many people this was their 5th, 10th, 20th time, but for me it was all brand new. I battled the many long lines, I shoved my way through masses of people on the exhibit floor, I even ran up to celebrities like some kind of crazed lunatic begging for a picture. I was turned down by only a few (Pretty much the entire cast of True Blood hates me, I'm sure of it).

(Drew has most of my pictures, so add me on FB to see them at a later date!)

The cosplay was great, the swag was pretty good, and the panels were both great and mediocre (if you could even get in...) I missed out on Game of Thrones by 30 people. 30 PEOPLE, Y'ALL! I almost cried. (Ok, who am I kidding? I DID CRY. Drew had to buy me a giant pretzel to cheer me up.)

However, whatever disappointments the Con brought, it also provided many surprises. I talked to George R. R. Martin for about ten minutes when I randomly ran into him AFTER not being able to snag a ticket to his autograph signing. He signed my Kindle, books, and even a poster for me. I even snagged a pic!

I got to take a picture with this lovely specimen, Greg Grunberg (only one of my favorite actors ever),

after my friends and I weren't able to make it into the Community panel.

We met amazing people from all over the world. We picked up collectibles from our favorite shows, cartoons, and games. Most importantly? I was a part of something that I've always wanted to take part in, and now I'm a total Contourage geek. I have to go back next year. I JUST HAVE TO.

We made some amazing memories. I wish I could have taken each and every one of you with me.

So that just leaves me with one question:

WHO'S IN FOR NEXT YEAR?!
